lost 5 boats out of 6 attempted laps; kicked twice immediately prior to WP1, kicked 3x immediately prior to WP2. Pointless trying again until the sims are restarted

waste of time n effort tryin to do a lap until the sims are restarted. Excellent course design, good wind, can't fault the lap at all other than the sims are simply unuseable. 2 completed laps from a dozen attemps... crazy

Hi Mods & Hotlaps Helpers! I hope this is the appropriate forum for raising this issue. Over the past 6 or 7 weeks, a sailor named Eragon Adder has been posting impossible times in the Bandit IF. I know that Iteke has IM'd him on a couple of occasions and someone has seen fit to remove the times. He has also been seen to pack up and leave when somebody else arrives at the course. Understandably, for the sake of not jumping to conclusions, the first response is to ask if he simply doesn't know what he's doing, regarding wind conditions, correct course, etc. I would suggest that it may now be time to assume that his actions are more deliberate than that. The Hotlaps competition for the Bandit IF is slow , but well attended and fought in good spirit. It is annoying to have someone apparently deliberately manipulating their times, just to top the leaderboard. I don't know what your policy might be under these circumstances, but obviously any action taken will be at your discretion. This week, there is also a time set by 80Helen with a comment that she got '1 buoy wrong,' which apparently took 4 minutes off her time, relative to other sailors. It would seem fair that the time should be removed. As always, thank you for all of your efforts to bring us Hotlaps, I know that I and all of the sailors I speak to who participate appreciate it very much, as well as the hosts who let us bombard their sims! Regards, Jimi.

Hi Jim,
We try to keep the sheets clean, i will take care of that time by helen. As a team we decided not to judge times and delete them ( where does it end ) playing fair is up to the sailors.
We might need to add a ban list in the system, will ponder on that.

Hi Burt, Thanks for the reply and understood that playing fair is up to the sailors. It's a system that seems to work very well, with this one notable exception. If the team do decide to implement a ban list, we have the perfect candidate to evaluate its efficacy! Regards, Jimi.
