Hello Sailors... Would you please answer the this poll about Lap Comments. Thanks so much. There are two types of comments setup for HotLaps. 1. Lap comments, entered into the Hottest Laps sheet. Click here to view. 2. Location comments entered into the Forum. Click here to view. Ideally, all comments should be entered into the forum. Doing so raises the poll question: Note: Join our forum to vote in this poll or simply post a reply below. |

The poll has been closed.
Lap comments are best entered directly into the "Hottest Laps - Managed" sheet.
Entering lap comments into the Forum has the following issues:
1. Guests must verify they are human.
2. Can’t see times and comments grouped by class as currently seen in spreadsheet.
3. If use forum table, can’t add to it by other users.
4. No import into forum ability. Only copy/paste.
In summary, no change will be made to how Lap Comments are entered. If someone wants to add a general location comment to the forum, they have the ability.

never having tried to enter comments via the forum *pointless when I can edit the spreadsheet directly* I don't understand the relevence of the question

@mike - The question of entering Lap comments into the forum was to see the practicality of using the forum for lap comments instead the spreadsheet. We determined it was not practical (see previous posts) so the poll was closed.

Was trying to see if lap comments could be entered into the forum instead of spreadsheet, but turned out not a good idea (see above), so poll has been closed. |
